“Any average teacher can fail a student, but it takes an above average teacher to declare:

“I will not let you fail.”

Average teachers are never in short supply and the good teacher will always make the poor student good, and the good student superior. A good teacher is always true to the Latin meaning of the word teacher, which means

“to lead or draw out”.
