Weight-Loss Supplement Recalled

PRock Marketing LLC, is recalling all lots of Fruta Planta and Reduce Weight Fruta Planta because they contain sibutramine as an undeclared drug ingredient.

Sibutramine is an appetite suppressant that was pulled from the U.S. market in December 2010 for safety concerns. Sibutramine may increase blood pressure and heart rate in some patients. It is not recommended in people with heart disease, psychiatric illnesses, kidney disorders or uncontrolled high blood pressure.

The FDA has received several reports of side effects linked to the supplements, including heart problems and one death.

The FDA encourages individuals to stop taking this product immediately and report any side effects to their healthcare professionals.
